In South Vietnam the joint venture took shape in cooperation with the University of Transport in Ho Chi Minh City. In 2005 a large training and simulator centre for education in maritime navigation was constructed. STC, with a majority interest of 60%, accepted responsibility for the management if this joint venture that was recorded under the name UT-STC.
